I had been complaining that no-one had really picked up on the terrific single, Alone by Dan Black, as a potentially cataclysmically awesome song to remix for quite a while. I suppose somewhere in the ether my upsets resonated.
The boyfriend named dropped, again, but I don't mind this remix. Maybe it is a grower. But right now I have a feeling in my waters that more could extrapolated from this song.
It could be fantastic.

Don't get me wrong. It is nice, n'all. But I just think this song has so much to offer in terms of remix value. If you think you could do better have a go and let me know! Please. I urge you.

there's a "lovelock" remix floating out there somewhere. it's pretty nice.
i have to say the version of "alone" i like best so far is from a video of dan singing alone at a picnic table, accompanying himself with some electronic device. it was very heartfelt, for some reason. he sure has an incredible voice.
Yea, I wasn't massively struck on that either. I just think it could be a lot more exciting rather than that dreamy, stripped-down, summer shill-out sound. It could be funky and hardcore. Or, my favourite word, rollicking.
